We start with hotel pickup and head to the San Cristóbal neighborhood (Qolqampata), where you will get a spectacular panoramic view of Cusco — the perfect way to begin this cultural experience.
We’ll walk along 7 Borreguitos Street in the Qantupata neighborhood, visiting the Huaca Sapantiana, the colonial aqueduct, and the Choquechaqa Bridge. Our guide will share the history and legends of the area.
We’ll walk along the traditional Tandapata Street toward the artistic San Blas neighborhood, known for its artisan workshops and cobblestone streets. We’ll visit the San Blas Viewpoint to admire a breathtaking view of the historic center. We’ll then descend along the ancient Qhapaq Ñan route, part of the Inca trail network declared a World Heritage Site, until we reach the main square of the neighborhood.
We’ll continue to the Main Square, surrounded by colonial temples and ancient arcades. Our guide will explain its history and cultural significance before visiting the iconic Hatun Rumiyoc Street and its famous Stone of the 12 Angles, a symbol of Incan architectural perfection. There will be time for photos and to wear traditional Andean costumes.
We’ll visit the Choco Museum, where you’ll learn about Peruvian cacao and take part in a small workshop to make your own handmade chocolate.
We’ll end the tour with free time to explore the historic center, visit shops, or enjoy a coffee with a view of the Plaza de Armas.
